    Range Rover Over Charge

Air con blowing warm air , sometimes coldish,
1/ checked Freon, meter on red and almost off the scale.
2/ vented the system, only warm air expelled,
3/ gauge built up to red again
4/ vented again (this time looking to vent till liquid replaced the air...as per internet advice)
5/ continued venting till zero (no air or liquid)
    8/ tried refill Freon R134.
9/ returned to meter on red and almost off the scale.

its almost as if only pressurised air in the system

    can anyone explain

Sorry for the language confusion, but I can't decipher whether you pulled a vacuum on your system before adding refrigerant.
