Adding PAG Oil to an automotive AC system that has no removeable High Side Valve Core

    Hello again,

    I'm working on a 2006 Dodge Caravan 3.3L V6 SXT

I need to add PAG oil to the system.
The "normal" procedure is to remove the high side port valve core and then apply vacuum to the system's Low side port, then use a tube to allow the vacuum to suck the proper amount of Oil into the system.

Unfortunately on the 2006 Dodge Caravan, the valve is not removable. If the core goes bad, you must replace the entire Hose assembly.

I need to add 2 ounces.

I do not want to use those "Super Duper "ICE" freon/oil/conditioner cans of refrigerant you can get at AutoZone.
I just want to add plain 2 ounces of PAG 46 oil.

How is this done on a vehicle with no removable High side port schrader valve?

    Thanks

There is a tool made, that uses the pressure difference between High and Low side to force the oil into the low side. More or less a chamber that you put the oil in, a hose with a high side fitting on one end and hose with a low side fitting on the other.
