Pressures as low as you saw this is the reason compressors explode, throw debris as oil is moved by them working and making liquid at condensers.

Condensers are a filter even this old can't be saved,

Hello,
I'm going to replace the compressor this weekend, as well as the orifice and dryer/receiver. Hopefully my system is not full of debris.

I won't be able to flush all oil out of the system, so how much oil should I add? Total should be 9oz.

Oil if no debris "guestimate" loss for leaks by mess? Basic for what you are doing is dump out parts replaced and measure that + 2oz.

Inspect "o" tube in a way is catching debris as a filter.
Think about condensers if debris does catch it no known perfect way to save them/clean them out.

Gettin' old MIckel know some items drop down to get out and or access thru wheel well,

Glad to hear it. Have 4 of my own finally warm enough (like real 80sF) 2, I leave unplugged at accumulator if the even try took me years to figure out leak is shaft seal when super cold + turning it leaks w/o evidence. Eeek, one is R-12 OE still can get 3 years untouched you can't do that on newer stuff w electric fans they are fan clutches,
